Alanya Limmer, Director

Alanya joined Goodman Tavendale Reid at the beginning of 2008 with seven years specialist resource management experience. Alanya has previously worked in resource management law teams at a leading national firm in Auckland and a medium-sized firm in Christchurch. More recently, Alanya was in-house resource management counsel for one of New Zealand’s largest SOE’s, in the electricity sector.

Alanya has developed a broad spectrum of experience in resource management, local government, and environmental law matters including: strategic district and regional plan participation; subdivision, land use, discharge and water consenting; applications for and consenting of national energy projects; conservation legislation; climate change policy and regulation; local authority enforcement; statutory compliance; and review of resource consents.

Alanya provides legal advice and representation to a wide range of clients such as local authorities, individuals, national corporates and local businesses, and various sectors of industry. She has appeared numerous times before District and Regional Council hearing committees and the Environment Court.
